Following a strategic review, Long Burroughs joined Steadfast New Zealand, part of the wider Steadfast Group network, on 1 March. This partnership strengthens our ability to support clients while preserving our independence and client-first approach.

To reflect this next chapter, we’ve refreshed our brand, expanded our Parnell workspace and reaffirmed our commitment to delivering exceptional insurance and risk advice.

    2015

    Inception

    Long Burroughs is founded by Geoff Long and David Burroughs, with a shared purpose to ensure businesses and people are genuinely protected. Between them, they brought extensive Commercial and Corporate insurance experience and strong relationships across both local and international insurance markets.

    2016

    Joint Forces

    Geoff and David join forces with the team at Auckland Insurance, bringing both businesses together under one roof in Parnell.

  3. January

    2020

    Wellington Business Acquisition

    Long Burroughs purchases Fire & General business in Wellington, bringing along key team members, strengthening its presence in the region and expanding its client base across the country.

  4. April

    2022

    Expansion

    Long Burroughs acquires Auckland Insurance, expanding its capabilities and strengthening its position within the industry. The acquisition creates greater opportunities to deliver tailored insurance solutions and enhanced support to clients across New Zealand.

    2024

    Life & Health

    Long Burroughs Financial Services Ltd is established, expanding the business into Life & Health insurance with Director Bryce Wilson. The new offering provides individuals and families with management plans to navigate the risks and uncertainties that life can bring.

    Curated Risk Merger

    Clinton Stanger, founder of Curated Risk, joins Long Burroughs as a Director. This strategic alignment brings complementary expertise and new opportunities for the business and its clients.

    New CRM System

    Long Burroughs implements a new internal CRM platform, streamlining workflows and significantly improving efficiency, and data visibility across the business.
